Building Updates

In 2013, we commenced work to freshen up the Post and make updates to ensure our facility will continue to serve the group well for another 30 years.

Service Garage Painting

In August 2013, Post members came together to repair, scrape, prime and paint our wooden service garage.  Originally located on South Street, the service garage has housed our Step Van and other equipment since the early 1970s.  The garage needed some TLC.  Sections of siding were replaced, windows reglazed and a full paint job was applied.  Thanks to the members for all their hard work.

Garage Door Modifications

In August 2014, we expanded one of the two garage door openings in our main building.  The new 10 x 12 opening allows us to fit a full sized ambulance body vehicle into both garage bays.  Special thanks go out to Worcester Overhead Door for all their services and the extra efforts they provided to get the job done.

Passage Door Replacement

In August 2014, we replaced exterior passage doors, closure hardware and door jambs.  Due to its proximity to the municipal parking lot, with all the sand and salt over the years, the doors and jambs had deteriorated to the point where replacement was necessary.  Special thanks to Jim Grenier and Raymond Crouse for specking out the doors and doing a great installation job.

Main Building Painting

The Post's metal building was erected in 1985.  The original powder coat finish was in tough shape due to decades of sun exposure.  The building was power washed and painted by Cranford Custom Painting.  The facility looks great.  Special thanks to Dave and his crew for a great job.
